This blog is all about the learning and information I gathered from an interactive session with Mr. Nikhil kulkarni sir, which is organized by Prof. T Prasad.
Mr. Nikhil Kulkarni sir is the Founder of Trip Darwin which is a Travel technology company. Presently working in B2B business and he told that in the coming days he will also, be doing B2C Business.
In the very Next Slide, he mentioned the agenda of the session
and Discussed one by one, Which are-
· 1. Importance of Business communication in Consulting
World
How do you communicate your ideas
, this work contributes around 80% in
the consulting. And for communicating
the content he told that most Powerful tools in consulting are Microsoft
Powerpoint, Excel, and word. Powerpoint Flip through facility makes PowerPoint
to be preferred over Microsoft Word. As Basically in the consulting, we receive
the proposal and then we have to prepare a report(Outcome of work), Which is
going to be shown to the client, and he also told that the briefing of the report
should be done through the diff DOCs in the mail and While Executive presentation to
the client. Delivering the content EXCEL plays a great role to brief through
data, so all this EXCEL, POWER POINT, and WORD is going to be our best buddy, so
we have to master on these three for our faster carrier growth irrespective of
whether we are in consultancy or supply chain management sector, As he clearly
attributed to the command on this for
his 50% growth in his carrier in the journey from a consultant to associate
director.
· 2. Pyramid Principle – To Structure the content
To Structure the content pyramid principle is very much
useful But firstly the objective of the document should be very clear and
accordingly orientation of the bottom steps will go on that direction apart
from that the targeted audience should be clear. In this first, we state the
introduction and then writing the sub subjets and finally moves to the
conclusion. In the flow chart He also mentioned to state the problem, MECE
(mutually exclusive and collectively exhaustive ) is a key tool. Apart from this
for Every summarizing or suppoting argument
in IDFL(Idea,data,Fact and Logic) way should be done.
· 3.Tips for creating Impact
The key differentiating factor in your presentation is how unique you are presenting that, As all people are having the same data,fact and stats. So for this, he told that start with some impactful data or image ,through quotes or video to engage the audience.he also mentioned the picture superiority effect over the textful page.
4. Personal Branding
What is personal branding?
Personal Brand is the art of becoming Knowable, likable, and trustable i.e. getting recognized Because who they are. They don’t need an introduction, not required to be backed by CV. He added that the personal brand boosts your carrier and given exp of his own, how he benefitted by having personal brand by getting no. of opportunities in business and promotion as well In personal growth. For that, we have to present on different social media platforms like having a youtube channel, Twitter account, facebook profile, and using the same in a better way to create personal branding.
